WIXI - 1360 kHz - Jasper (Alabama) - QSL

El dueño e ingeniero jefe de la emisora, David Snavely (W5ZC), me dice: "...The WIXI transmitter is a Nautel XR-12 under remote control from the studios at the address listed above. At the time you received us we were operating with nighttime power below 500 watts.". ¡Menos de 500 w.!. En el correo-e añade: "... We are a small radio station serving a community of about 80,000 people.  I have owned the station for three years, and I raised the daytime power to 12,000W.  When you heard us however we were operating at much lower power. We were broadcasting a special football game. ".
